Requirements of the Competition

The requirements of participants of BNSC competition similarly with standard of participate to join in ASC VIII Thailand:
1. The competition is individualistic and is for Indonesian citizens (WNI)
2. Each person can only be join in or choose one of 4 competitions offered (and all other categories such as Welding, Plumbing, etc)
3. The participant was born at least or after 1st of November 1988
4. Have to participate in Training Centre I (around 3 months, from September to December 2009) and Training Centre II (around 8 months, from February to September 2010)
5. The participants have to get permission to join Training Centre in BINUS University, Jakarta in the period above, both parents and institutions (university, school or company)
6. Register and pay commitment fee Rp 30.000,-
The deadline for registration is on September 11, 2009.
Competition Schedule

All the fields of competition will be divided into 2 phase:
Online Elimination Phase :
Will held online over the Internet. Participant works from home in all over Indonesia which is connected by the Internet in our website:
http://competition.binus.ac.id
Day / Date : Sunday, on September 13, 2009
Time : 10.00 - 18.30 (about 6 hours competition time)
For participants who do not have Internet connection, BINUS University will prepare the facility to join the elimination at BINUS University, Jl. Kebon Jeruk Raya No.27, Kebon Jeruk, Jakarta Barat.
Final Phase :
Final phase will be held:
Day / Date : Saturday to Sunday / on September 26th - 27th, 2009
Time : 08.00 - 18.00
Place : BINUS University

Room : Software Laboratory Center
This competition will select about 15 participants (depend on the composition of the participants) from the elimination phase to enter the final phase.

There are 4 fields of competitions that can be selected, and each participant can only choose one of 4 fields. These fields are:
1. Information Technology - Software Application
2. Mechanical Engineering CADD (Computer Aided Drawing and Design)
3. Web Design
4. Graphic Design Technology
Information Technology - Software Application
Software Application divided into 4 categories that must be completed by the participants:
• Document Processing
• Spreadsheet
• Graphics and Electronic Presentation
• Database
The software application will be used :
• Microsoft Word 2007
• Microsoft Excel 2007
• Microsoft Power Point 2007
• Microsoft Access 2007
• Corel Draw X4
• Adobe Photoshop CS3
Web Design
For Web Design categories, participants will complete ability in designing and programming a website for client and server side. This competition will be divided into 4 modules:
• Module A : Graphic Design Template
• Module B : Front End
• Module C : Animation
• Module D : Back End
The software application will be used (select depends on your need) :
• Adobe Dreamweaver
• Adobe Flash
• Adobe Photoshop
• Adobe Illustrator
• Sound Forge
• PHP
• MySQL
• PHPMyAdmin
Mechanical Engineering CADD (Computer Aided Drawing and Design)
CADD category will compete ability in drawing technique for one or several object based on direct object that given. Participants are allowed to use one of the related application, i.e. (optional, appropriate expertise) :
• Autodesk Inventor 2008 (priority)
• Autodesk AutoCAD
• Mechanical Desktop 2008
Graphic Design Technology
Design Graphic category will compete ability in design graphic with related application, i.e. (optional, choose one) :
• Macromedia Freehand
• Adobe InDesign
• Adobe Illustrator
• Adobe Photoshop
